Regarding the use of anonymized integrated data

The Japanese Center for Research on Women in Sport (JCRWS) at Juntendo University developed the Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation for female athletes (“PPE for female athletes”) as part of the Japan Sports Agency–commissioned project for FY2019 and FY2020 titled Development and Support Project for Female Athletes: Survey Research for the Strategic Strengthening of Female Athletes. Subsequently, in 2025, a version for male athletes was developed, leading to the establishment of a comprehensive health evaluation system for athletes: “PPE for female and male athletes.”

The “PPE for female and male athletes” is expected to collect and analyze data from male athletes, in addition to that from female athletes, which will help further improve the accuracy of health assessments conducted before exercise participation. Promoting research to understand and improve the current status of athletes and para-athletes in Japan is the mission of university research institutes, and further examination of your valuable data will help maintain and support the health and safety of many athletes and para-athletes. Therefore, we kindly ask for your consent to use anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes.

[How the data will be used]
1)Research performed using the data entered into this tool will be approved by the “Research Ethics Review Board” that will oversee that the research is conducted correctly.

2)If the research is conducted, only entered data from those who have agreed to it will be utilized. All data obtained from this tool will be anonymized so that individuals will not be identified, and your personal information will never be leaked to outside parties. When using the data, the entered data will be separated from the e-mail address that can identify individuals. Only the entered data will be integrated. In addition, data will be managed using password-protected digital files to ensure there will be no leakage of personal information.

3)Research results using the data obtained from this tool may be presented at academic conferences or be published as a scientific article; however, individuals will not be identified in any way.

4)Even after you agree to use your data, you may withdraw the consent of your own free will without any penalties. (You can change it from the top page after log in.) However, data before the withdrawal of consent cannot be deleted.
